Search and destroy: a new drug targets - and kills - leukemia
Article Abstract:
Canadian and Israeli researchers have developed the drug AG-490, which shows tremendous promise as a possible cure for childhood leukemia. The drug selectively kills cancer cells without damaging healthy ones, and appears to have few side effects. Tests on mice showed a 100% cure rate.

A Calgary court ruled that a man who had helped father a child was entitled to parental visits. The mother Caroline Johnson-Steeves claimed that King Tak Lee was only a sperm donor, even though the two had sex in order to conceive the child, The child is now four.
