Should teachers encourage students to engage in political activism?
Article Abstract:
Many believe that teachers have a responsibility to encourage students to become politically active. By participating in organized marches to protest against such issues as racial discrimination and governmental policies, students will learn much about themselves and their community. However, others believe that teachers should educate students rather than preach to them. Professors should encourage students to become involved and let them decide on the course of action.

Should legislators shift responsibility for interpreting "medical necessity" from insurers to health-care providers?
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Association supports the proposal that medical necessity should be treated as a medical decision, and not as an issue to be determined by health plans according to cost considerations. According to the Health Insurance Association of America, however, medical necessity as a clinical issue should be separated from medical necessity as an issue of health coverage. The proposed legislation would undercut efforts to control health-care costs.
