Son of a Bush

Article Abstract:

This article examines the business and political career of Texas governor and US presidential candidate George W. Bush, and argues that Americans should consider carefully before putting him in the White House without sufficiently scrutinizing his record. Relevant points include Bush's repeated failure to succeed in the oil business, his participation in a scam that forced Texas taxpayers to pay for a new baseball stadium, and the many death warrants he has signed as governor with little consideration of whether mercy was called for.

Lights, camera, inaction

Article Abstract:

Following the events of September 11, 2001 in the United States, American entertainment moguls are hesitant to release films or television shows that depict events such as bombings or airplane crashes. This mindset could be the beginning of the end for disaster movies such as Arnold Schwarzeneggar's latest film, "Collateral Damage," which has been shelved indefinitely.
