Article Abstract:
Australian liberals and conservatives are equally guilty of class-ridden moralizing about food, sex and drugs, however the Australian Democrat's plan to exclude food from the GST is not a sensible way of achieving compromise. All Australians should have access to affordable food and information on its risks and benefits. Australians should also have the right to choose what they want to consume.
