Terminal victims
Article Abstract:
Sidney, Australia's Kingsford Smith Airport was shut down for a day in Jul 1998 as a result of two air flight controllers calling in sick. The closure did not affect passengers, but businesses, especially express freight and perishables, suffered huge losses. Many blame government policies regarding noise and traffic control rather than the airport's management. These restrictions have put limitations on the airport, causing domestic and international flights to circle around and wait for landing.

Glut feelings
Article Abstract:
Growing investment in the wine industry has caused concerns about overproduction and a possible surplus of grapes. Research from New South Wales, indicating that winegrapes are 300 times as profitable per hectare than beef, shows why the industry is experiencing a boom in investments. The government wants to introduce new taxes on wine to profit from the industry's success.
