The fifth anniversary of the Newsweek's Arabic-language edition was celebrated in Kuwait, where around 43 influential Arabs were invited but no alcohol was used to raise the toast. The state of political reform in Middle East countries is the same as it was earlier and only some political reforms such as voting rights for women are observed in Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
