Fuller, 40, takes over the daunting task of revamping Cosmopolitan magazine after the departure of founding editor Helen Gurley Brown. Hearst Corp appointed Fuller deputy editor in Jan 1996. Brown was not happy with the transition and took out an ad in the New York Times protesting it.
