There is much evidence indicating that the US economy has been manipulated numerous times. Although many speculate that the US economy will grow even further, many others believe that the deliberate interest rate cuts and the rescue package of the Long Term Capital Management hedge fund were in direct response to Asian and Russian economic troubles despite earlier contentions by the US Federal Reserve Board that monetary policy was neutral and bias was towards tightening rather than loosening.
