The woman who rescues horses
Article Abstract:
Hilary Wood founded Front Range Equine Rescue to care for abandoned, abused and sick horses. Wood and other volunteers work evenings and nights, coming in after their day jobs, to care for the horses and find new owners for them. Front Range has a lifetime follow-up program to ensure that the horses do not return to abuse and neglect.

Even though Sonya Carson became a mother at age 13 and raised both her sons alone, they became an enormously successful surgeon and engineer. Although her sons' educations quickly surpassed her's, she advised them to teach her rather than criticize her.
