The way we worked
Article Abstract:
The approach to work has changed during the 20th century depending upon the economic and social factors to which people had to adopt. The generation born during or after World War I depended upon relentless work to sustain themselves. It was hard for them to imagine a life without work. The onset of World War II enabled many women to become a valuable part of the work force, and influenced their desire to be more involved with employment and their role in the American labor force.
