Researches show that the overall economic impact of the tsunami disaster would be limited mainly because it occurred in undeveloped areas without major industrial or infrastructure facilities. While the most adversely affected areas are tourism and fishing, construction and infrastructure sectors are likely to receive a boost in demand.
