Brazil is a country of 8.5 million square kilometers, a nation of Internet users and poverty-stricken people living in huge cities amid vast jungles and wetlands. The planned capital city of Brasilia remains an architectural wonder, while the hills of centuries-old Rio de Janeiro are dotted with shanty towns known as favelas. A reporter in China: Charles Taylor was an author and horseman

Article Abstract:

Taylor died in Jul 1997 at age 62 of cancer. As a foreign correspondent for 'The Globe and Mail,' Taylor reported on dissent within China. Taylor also wrote five books and a play and owned a horse that won the Breeders Cup.
