Millimeter might
Article Abstract:
The Sandia National Labs has developed a Z machine that causes fusion reaction inside a 2-millimeter-sized capsule, using a massive pulse of electricity of about 12 millions joules within 7 nanoseconds. The deuterium gas is compressed to 160 microns and heated by X-ray energy to a temperature of 11.6 million degree Celsius and the yield is about 4 millijoules of energy, a modest level of nuclear fusion energy.
