Article Abstract:
Scientists dealing with artificial intelligence (AI) have discovered that knowledge is the basis of intelligence, so to build an intelligent computer necessitates it being endowed with knowledge. They found that to get a computer to do anything intelligent it had to have a great deal of information about what it had to do. AI researchers need to do three things before they can succeed: identify basic behaviour that makes up intelligence, differentiate between learned and innate behaviour and construct programs to learn things starting from a built in behaviour pattern.
