Article Abstract:

The results of the survey on global aging, in developed nations, are discussed. Results indicate, Japan and Europe are facing an economic decline due to the rapidly aging population leaving work, and the tax base. The situation is contrary for the United States of America, which has workforce that can substitute for older people. The other results of the survey are also discussed.

Cloudy today, clearing tomorrow

Article Abstract:

Mark Hughes European leader of utilities corporate finance and recovery of Pricewaterhouse Cooper (PWC) states that the year 2003 was a poor year for deals in the global electricity and gas markets. The PWC's annual report shows that the prime rationale for mergers and acquisition (M&A) activity were less in the year 2003 due to the competition on the global stage.

Maglev on the move

The promise that high-speed magnetic levitation (maglev) train technology will alleviate airport congestion is close to becoming a reality. Most of the countries like Germany, US, China, Japan etc. are on their way with maglev technology.
