US: HOECHST GIVES UP DYNEON
Article Abstract:
3M wants to buy its joint venture partner Hoechst's 46% stake in Dyneon, the producer of fluoroelastomers, polytetrafluoroethene, fluorothermoplastics and related products. With more than 700 staff, Dyneon generated a turnover of US$ 350mn in 1998. The sale will take place through Celanese AG, which expects to raise more than US$ 300mn from the sale of the Dyneon stake.
