Slippery slopes in flat countries - a response
Article Abstract:
More cases of non-voluntary euthanasia are being reported in the Netherlands, but this does not necessarily mean that the number of cases is actually rising. These cases represent a very serious problem, as they can only really be justified in the very few situations where life termination is genuinely a last resort. A shortage of facts makes it difficult to establish a clear public policy on euthanasia and to determine whether tolerating euthanasia is making this practice more common.

Human gene therapy and slippery slope arguments
Article Abstract:
The complex moral and ethical issues surrounding the debate on human gene therapy is likely to be argued within a slippery slope framework. An example is the logical slippery slope argument which holds that allowing somatic cell gene therapy will lead to approval of germ line gene therapy in the future. Another is the rhetorical slippery slope position which views human gene therapy as a precursor to events such as Nazi-type genocide.

The ethics of surrogacy: women's reproductive labour
Article Abstract:
The question of whether surrogate motherhood is immoral is addressed from the viewpoint of the surrogate mother. Specifically, the practice is shown to be a subtler form of prostitution, one which sells the womb and women's reproductive labor. According to several ethicists, this is wrong because women are forced to dehumanize and alienate themselves from their feelings of expecting a child.
