Measurement of body fat in healthy elderly men: a comparison of methods

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that percent body fat levels are overestimated using the bioelectrical impedance and body mass index systems of measurement in relation to percent body fat levels measured using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry in people of any age. Percent body fat measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry in people aged over 80 was overestimated in relation to percent bodyfat predicted by skinfold measurements.

Propaganda and the web war

Article Abstract:

Information and propaganda transmitted by the Internet is changing both NATO's and Serbia's approach the conflict in Kosovo. Technology is seen as a strategic target because controlling the media is necessary to win support for political action. However, the Internet allows ordinary citizens to bypass mainstream media and communicate directly, which may shake the credibility of political propaganda.
