A market for residual value is becoming active in the property sector. By taking out residual value insurance (RVI), landlords can theoretically ask a bank to lend a higher sum against the value of a property than it would do otherwise. Rotch Properties is one company seeking to exploit residual values, although the insurance industry has yet to endorse RVI.
