Article Abstract:
The market has a growing demand for senior housing, with persons over 65 years old as primary consumers. The National Investment Conference study reveals that the 1.78 million units senior housing needs for 1997 will still exceed 3.7 million units by 2030. However, investors and developers have to anticipate problems such as high construction cost because senior housing requires special care facilities.
