Reinventing the office building business
Article Abstract:
Office building owners are advised to revise their leasing and renting strategies to encourage businesses to remian in their location. Office space rents should be charged apart from tenant improvement costs, which in turn should be negotiated with the tenant. Tenants will be discouraged from transferring frequently to other locations once they have made a substantial investment for improvement and maintenance.

Article Abstract:
A court's ruling in the Lusk vs. Village of Cold Spring regarding conflicting views on constitutional rights of individuals residing in historic places and government interest in preservation of such places is discussed. The government obligation on preservation of historic districts too is discussed.
