Creolite and the feminine text in Simone Schwarz-Bart

Article Abstract:

A study of Simone Schwarz-Bart's 'Pluie et vent sur Telumee Miracle' shows the link between the author's use of 'creolite' and the feminine text's formation. By feminine text is meant the concept's expression by French feminist literary critics. Language-fusion is key to the revelation of both the female self and of 'creolite.' The text's intimacy depicts the woman as both sensual and maternal. Language could for Schwarz-Bart be described as mother's milk.
