Electronic opportunities in archaeology
Article Abstract:
The advent of the Internet has revolutionized the teaching of archaeology in universities. Whereas a syllabus had formerly been handed out to students in mimeographed paper, it is now accessed through the Internet and may have hard copies only if students choose to download printouts. Also, the bibliographic resources had become very much expanded. The references now include journal articles and books from libraries all over the US. Unfortunately, some archaeology journals do not include page references in their online versions such that students could not use them for term papers.

Caught in the Net: electronic opportunities in archaeology
Article Abstract:
The acceptance of Greece into the European Economic Community engineered the modernization of the country. The emergence of villas on its shorelines, the renovation and expansion of museums, the rise of stylish restaurants and bars surrounding its ancient ruins and the proliferation of state-of-the-art communication systems speak of a wealthier and more advanced Greece. However, travelers hope that the country's historical legacy would be preserved and protected from the influences of modernization.
