Fiscal decentralization and infant mortality: empirical evidence from rural India
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to develop a theoretical model that will be used to test the impact of fiscal decentralization on rural infant mortality rates in India from 1990 to 1997. Findings show that fiscal decentralization plays a significant role in reducing rural infant mortality rates.

A study conducted to develop a model for Mexican migrant worker's saving behavior that can address remittances as consumption transfer to households and as an alternative saving mechanism for migrants, is presented.
