On legislative style and structure
Article Abstract:
The relation between the style and structure of legislation is explored by treating the style and structure of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the Principles of European Contract Law and the Unidroit Principles of International commercial Contracts. The manner in which English, German and French legislators deal with how best legislation can be worded is discussed, focusing on the statutory provisions relating to obligations.
