The foundation of the Indochinese Communist Party, 1929-1930
Article Abstract:
The anniversary of the Indochinese Communist Party was historically celebrated on Jan 6 each year beginning in the mid 1930s. In Sep 1960, the party adopted a resolution, which made Feb 3 the correct date of its anniversary. Party officials argued that the error was as a result of differences between the solar and lunar calender. Many suspect that this kind of error has other reasons, which reflects the lack of information available on circumstances in which the party was founded.
