Tension within the church: British missionaries in Wuhan, 1913-28
Article Abstract:
Chinese resistance and hostility to foreign missionaries declined after the 1900 Boxer Uprising. During the Nationalist Revolution of 1925-28, missionary organizations had to adapt to the conflict between foreign Christianity and Chinese nationalism. By 1925 the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society in Wuhan had already worked to ease its internal tensions and was pragmatic in reforming itself without significant disagreement.

The scramble for concessions in 1880s Siam
Article Abstract:
This article describes the reasons 1880s Siam, currently called Thailand, became a target for concession-hunters. The most likely consequence of granting these concessions was territorial partition.
