The political economy of Chinese investment in North Korea: A preliminary assessment
Article Abstract:
The rapid growth of investment by Chinese companies in North Korea is explored. The Chinese leadership has attempted to push North Korea to embrace economic reforms suggesting this rapid growth serves China's general policy goals toward North Korea in propping up the Pyongyang regime by leading it to embrace sustainable economic reforms.

Nepal and Bhutan in 2007: seeking an elusive consensus
Article Abstract:
Nepal's Constituent Assembly elections of 2007 were postponed as the disagreement over the electoral system continues. The year 2007 witnessed the India-Bhutan Friendship Treaty formally removing any reference to Bhutan accepting Indian guidance in foreign policy, and deepening democratization within the country.
