The press and the democratization process in Africa: the case of the Republic of Cameroon
Article Abstract:
The independent press has played are crucial role in instigating and sustaining democratic reform in Cameroon. The independent press acted as an informer, educator and critic of both the government and the citizenry. The independent press helped create political awareness among the people of Cameroon, who have been largely excluded from the political process for at least three decades.

Promoting French-English individual bilingualism through education in Cameroon
Article Abstract:
Cameroon, a Central African state sharing a long border with Nigeria, is a medium-sized country with a surface area of 475,000 km and a population of around sixteen million people. The language in education in the country is examined and an attempt is made to review the state to promote bilingualism in education and proposes a redefinition of the policy of official bilingualism.

The Upper Nun Valley Development Authority (UNVDA) was established in the NDOP by the Cameroon government, in the year 1970. The extent to which UNVDA has influenced social and economic changes in the Ndop region of Cameroon is assessed.
