Microcomputers in operating departments: controlling the risks
Article Abstract:
Organizations with PCs located outside of the data processing and accounting departments should implement effective control procedures to reduce computer output errors. Control procedures should include documentation of programs, operators, and users. Several different program controls can be used, including windows, compiled programs, and macros. Effective control procedures can help managers obtain data in a timely fashion, obtain accurate data, and understand the data.

The European Economic Community (EEC) will not release community aid money to Turkey. Turgut Ozal's election in Turkey was viewed positively, but the EEC recognizes that Turkey is still far from being a democratic country. Human rights must be restored before any funds will be released.
