Article Abstract:
A different logic, linking domestic politics and international agendas is identified, which highlights Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro's single-minded commitment to pay annual visits to the Yasukuni Shrine, where Class A war criminals convicted at the Tokyo War crimes are enshrined.
