Actor Dermot Morgan began his working life teaching English, but began writing scripts for Irish radio and television. He developed a career as a stand-up comic, and appeared on Irish television in 'The Mike Murphy Show.' He was most well known in the UK as Father Ted Crilly in the Channel 4 situation comedy 'Father Ted.' He had been intending to give up this role and appear in a film about an Archbishop of Dublin, Ireland, in the 1950s.

John Heyer

Documentary maker John Heyer was born in Devonport, Tasmania, in 1916. He began his career in 1934 at Efftee Films but joined Cinesound in 1935. His first production was 'Native Earth' in 1945.
