Four hundred years of stripping off on doctors' orders

Article Abstract:

The Royal College of Art in London, England, is currently staging an exhibition entitled 'The Quick and the Dead: Artists and Anatomy.' This exhibition interprets its theme widely, and includes many different representations of connections between anatomy and art. The around 150 exhibits include mythical stories with anatomical subjects, textbook portrayals of biology and medicine and anatomical fantasies. There are some works by well-known art-science crossover artists such as Stubbs and Leonardo.
