Thank God for tampering with nature
Article Abstract:
Some observers have expressed concern about the work of Professor Roger Gosden, who has developed a technique for using frozen ovarian tissue to treat infertile women. In fact, his work should be welcomed. Human longevity is increasing, but women are now fertile for a declining proportion of their life. For this reason, prolonging their fertility does not seem wrong. Gosden argues that people will not generally abuse the advances offered by reproductive technology.

Why stunts bring home the bacon
Article Abstract:
The nature of protests in the UK is evolving. The traditional mass protest has now become confined to landowners, while the individual protest made by small but creative groups is flourishing. In particular, protests based on a stunt, such as occupying the millennium wheel in the centre of London, England, attract a lot of attention. In contrast, amateurs protesting for something, rather than against it, such as pig farmers, attract very little attention at all.
