Article Abstract:

Winning awards can have a negative impact, giving the recipient inflated ideas of his or her worth, according to French actor, writer and film director Mathieu Kassovitz. He won two Cesar awards for his film 'La Haine,' but also attracted criticism because this film showed a working class way of life with which he was not really familiar. He feels that he was misrepresented by the media, and this is a key theme in his new film, 'Assassins.'

A long time since last orders

Article Abstract:

Actress Shelley Long has become very closely associated with Diane Chambers, the character she played in the television sitcom 'Cheers,' and this has made it difficult for her to take on other roles. She is always seen as bossy and humourless, and has found it hard to break this mould. However, she has recently taken a role in a comic film, 'The Brady Bunch Movie.'
