George Katsaros
Article Abstract:
Singer George Katsaros began his recording career in the US in Jun 1927, but did not really become popular among metropolitan Greeks until 1987. From then on, he was respected for his great zeal for life and his tireless musicianship. He used the Greek language in rather old-fashioned ways, and for this reason was particularly popular among diaspora communities. He travelled around Greek communities across the world, particularly between the two world wars, and did not really settle down until 1958, when he went to life in Tarpon Srings, FL.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Article Abstract:
Singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan gained a very strong following because of the emotional power of his voice. There are more than 20 volumes of his greatest hits, along with many high quality concert recordings, and he became particularly respected for his work with Peter Gabriel. He was prepared to explore a range of musical styles, but never compromised his reputation. His recordings fail to convey the overwhelming experience of hearing him perform live.
