Give me just one good reason why we should be nice to smokers

Article Abstract:

Many smokers claim that they feel like outcasts from society because smoking has been banned in so many places. In fact, this is not the case at all. Indeed, smoking has become fashionable again, and it is likely that the number of smokers in the UK, which has fallen constantly since the 1970s, will begin to rise again. Many restaurants and other public places still seem to put the needs of smokers before those of non-smokers, and smokers are often oblivious of the discomfort they cause to non-smokers. It is now time for non-smokers to become more militant, making smokers feel that their habit is ridiculous.

Poor old Jeffrey, a victim of so many misfortunes

Article Abstract:

Mixed views have been expressed about whether millionaire author Jeffrey Archer is fit to be adopted by the UK Conservative party as its candidate to be the first elected mayor of London, England. It may be possible to criticize his novels, but this does not mean that he should not be taken seriously as a candidate. A number of allegations have been made about his apparent dishonesty and lack of integrity, but in fact these have been greatly exaggerated. Even if has not always been entirely honest, this merely makes him equal with many other politicians.
