Home of the conquistador
Article Abstract:
The former fortress town of Trujillo, situated on the plains of Extremadura, Spain, still has many signs of its history. Its main square features 16th century palaces built with the loot from melted down Inca gold and silver, while buildings elsewhere in the town date back even further, such as the 13th century Church of Santa Maria La Mayor. Attractions include the Convento de la Coria, a former 15th century Franciscan convent, and the 16th century Palace of the Dukes of San Carloz.

The last thing Santa needs
Article Abstract:
The legend of reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh is more improbable than most aspects of the Christmas myth. Reindeer can pull sledges but they can become too hot, so cannot gallop far without panting. Miles of deliveries would be impossible for them. Reindeer fur is insulating. Their noses stay dry and they are completely covered in hair. Only females retain their antlers in winter.
