Life, death and the disciple of Darwin
Article Abstract:
US biologist George C. Williams has had great impact on thinking about evolution and human behaviour. In the mid-1960s, he showed that Darwinism can explain altruistic behaviour in animals, and is now seeking to apply Darwinism to medicine. He feels that many modern disease arise from within individuals, rather than as a result of infection or injury, and points to a mismatch between the modern environment and that of the Stone Age, where man's adaptations were produced and fine tuned.

Aiming to win a nuclear bet
Article Abstract:
Scottish Nuclear is one of the leading 20 companies in Scotland, and has seen strong growth over the last few years.
