Middle England swayed by rootless tree

Article Abstract:

Some voters who had decided to support the UK Labour party in the forthcoming general election are now reviewing their decision, according to The Independent newspaper's group of voters in the key marginal seat of Redditch, England. They have also been influenced by a recent Conservative party election broadcast portraying the Labour party as having insecure foundations.

Clouds still hover over the Conservatives in Wirral

Article Abstract:

Issues of particular concern include healthcare, education and political corruption. Disaffected Tories suffer the short-term blues

Article Abstract:

Many people who have traditionally supported the UK Conservative party may instead vote for the Labour party in the by-election in Wirral South, where there is a long history of strong backing for the Conservative party. However, this does not mean that they will necessarily vote for the Labour party in the forthcoming general election. Indeed, traditional Conservative voters who fear that the party may lose in the general election would be encouraged not to switch to Labour.
