Nasty, naughty - but nice
Article Abstract:
Novelist James Herbert is aware that he will never really be regarded as having reached very high literary standards. However, he feels that he does know how to write well, and has certainly been able to build up a following of dedicated fans. He feels that he is constantly evolving as a writer, and regrets the fact that many people seem only to know him for his earliest novels. He believes that all his novels contain a moral message that balances out their sometimes extreme fantasies.
