Secrets, lies and hidden tapes. Who said golf was dull?
Article Abstract:
Conflict began to arise at Olton Golf Club in Solihull, England, in summer 1998 when Pres John Duncombe revealed that a member had been bugging club meetings with electronic devices. It was soon rumoured that the bugging had been carried out by former professional golfer Michael King and another male club member. King initially denied the allegations, but has since admitted that he listened in to four meetings. Some observers feel that King was bitter because he was not elected to the committee.
