Anthony Salz is one of the best corporate lawyers in the UK, according to Norton Rose Senior Partner David Lewis. Salz is highlighted by Herbert Smith Head of Corporate Law Richard Bond, who also regards David Cheyne and Nigel Boardman as among the best corporate lawyers in the UK. David Cheyne is admired by Clifford Chance Head of Corporate Practice David Childs as well, but he also mentions Will Underhill and Adam Signy. Ellwood is also highlighted by Co-op Bank Chief Executive Mervyn Pedelty. Northern Rock Chief Executive L.P. Finn expresses great admiration for Lloyds TSB Chief Executive Sir Brian Pitman, as do Adam and Co Chief Executive Ray Entwhistle, Allied Irish Bank Chief Executive John Clifford and Alliance & Leicester Group Chief Executive Peter White.
