The boom in in situ bioremediation
Article Abstract:
In situ bioremediation is being extensively used in wastewater and groundwater treatment and to remove biodegradable organic wastes in industrial sites. Oxygen is used in this method and is injected in different ways, depending upon contaminant concentration and site permeability. The aim of bioremediation at a particular site and soil chemistry are also taken into consideration. Extensive research is going on in this field.
