A religious perspective
Article Abstract:
The Christian perspective tries to identify and provide care to needy people, in agreement with God's will. The church, as an agent of Christ, is supposed to intervene in a situation where an individual is being abused or neglected, or when a person is causing harm to himself or others. Three elder abuse case studies show that the religious authorization varies in individual cases. Interventions by the church are based on the exercise of compassion and justice.
