Association of electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy with the incidence of new congestive heart failure
Article Abstract:
Electrocardiographic (ECG) left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) can be used to indicate new incidences of congestive heart failure. Research using long-term care patients between the ages of 60 to 103 showed that LVH is indicated if the last ECG demonstrated LVH, even if LVH was not demonstrated on the baseline ECG. This can provide an early warning detection of LVH.

Article Abstract:
The author evaluates the use of self-reported data to forecasts future health care costs. He believes the usefulness of the date in these types of studies will not justify the costs of conducting the research.
