Effects of aging on hand function
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that increasing age has a negative effect on hand function in studies using subjects between 20 and 35 years of age and between 65 and 79 years of age. Negative effects included reduced finger and hand strength, ability to control and maintain pinch force and posture, hand sensation, and manual speed.

Effects of aging, menopause, and hormone replacement therapy on forearm skin elasticity in women
Article Abstract:
The decline per year in skin elasticity in postmenopausal women and the increase in elasticity due to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) over 12 months is examined. Skin elasticity declined by 0.55 percent per year after menopause while it increased by 5.2 percent with the use of 12 months of HRT
