Article Abstract:
Conditions that were expected to vary interference were used to affect negative priming, using alternative versions of the Stroop color-word task. Negative priming was at least as higher in older adults as in younger adults.

Age differences in dual-task interference are localized to response-generation processes

Age-related equivalence of identity suppression in the Stroop color-word task
Article Abstract:
A survey of 16 college students and 16 senior citizens was conducted to find out the validity of the proposition that the tendency for identity suppression decreased with age. The survey used the Stroop color-word task as testing vehicle and results show that there was no significant difference between identity suppression among the two groups of individuals. The findings negate conclusions derived from earlier research.
