Long-Term Care (LTC ) facilities are facing more number of lawsuits from the residents of United States as failure of LTC to prevent pressure ulcers. Data to reveal this fact is presented along with the need and methods to overcome.

Resident, wound and treatment characteristics associated with pressure ulcer healing in long-term care residents is identified. Use of moist dressings and nutritional support contribute to pressure ulcer healing.
