Physical disability in older runners: prevalence, risk factors, and progression with age
Article Abstract:
A comparative study of physical disability in 454 exercising and 292 non-exercising aged with the aid of the Health Assessment Questionnaire Disability Index indicates that the percentage of physically disabled non-runners is higher than that of runners. The predominant risk factor for physical illness in both groups is arthritis and age, higher body mass index and intake of medicines also contribute to disabilities.

Age-related phenotypic alterations in populations of purified human bone precursor cells
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that human bone cell phenotypic markers exhibit distinct age-related alterations, with some elderly people demonstrating significantly lower quantities of bone proteins. Immunologically purified bone preosteoblast-like cell populations were used in the research, with the findings facilitating a better understanding of the early stages of bone cell development.
